A White Wedding

It was an honor when Bo and Michelle asked if I would take on all of the decor for their all white winter wedding. Michelle and I spent many hours collaborating our pins on Pinterest to come up with exactly what she envisioned for her big day. Over the last couple of months I have spent hours upon hours working on bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, corsages, table numbers, runners, and so much more. It was an overwhelming feeling watching it come together this weekend. Due to the fact that I was in the wedding, I left the photo-capturing up to Victor. Thankful for these shots he was able to capture for me.

Bo & Michelle: video

They did it, they tied the knot! While I work on downloading/stealing/editing pictures, I thought I’d share a video/slideshow that I put together for Bo & Michelle’s rehearsal dinner. Enjoy!

My sister got married.

My sister, Tori, had a beautiful elegant wedding in Nov. ’12. We had a very short time to ‘throw’ everything together. She was a stunning bride, we fixed her dress to mostly hide her baby bump, and she was able to wear all of my jewelry and head piece. 2 of my friends were able to shoot the wedding (a new experience for them), and they did a fabulous job! (Shout-out to Sharon Niega & Jonathan Niega) Besides the fact that the officiant showed up 30 minutes late, everything went off without a hiccup. Their even was held at Meyer’s Castle in Dyer, IN. Here are some of the highlights.

I might have to include a few of Victor & myself…

we obviously enjoyed ourselves…

Wedding: When we said we do

I get giddy when I think about that day, May 18, 2012. I enjoyed every single moment of our wedding. I had done all of the ceremony/reception planning on-line, searching Florida destination weddings. Through these searches we decided on the Tampa Bay area, more specifically St. Petersburg/Treasure Island Beach. We found a company (Weddings on a Whim) to take care of the ceremony: raking the beach, setting up/taking down chairs, arch, & speaker system…the whole nine-yards. They were fantastic to work with and had extremely decent prices. They referred me to our reception venue, the Historical Paddleboat Cruise . I fell in love with this boat, it was perfect. The best part was that everything was included, dinner, band, chairs, linens, cake cutting, no rental fee…etc. We paid a fee per person, the end. That is completely unheard of in the wedding industry these days. The other great part of a cruise reception is the timing. When you return to the dock, the party is over…our wedding & reception went from 4-10:30, and we were checking into our hotel @ 11. Perfecto. Every brides wishes for every detail to be perfect, and I can honestly say there was only 1 thing I would change. The cake. It was beautiful on the outside, but it was slightly (okay, majorly) overcooked. Some people say it’s the most important part of your day, I pretend it wasn’t. Too many good memories to let that darn cake get in the way & take over.

Here are some pictures to highlight my favorite day ever.

And we’re living happily ever after…
